Peepy is very impressed with herself.
We’re in Cleveland, Ohio right now and look what greeted us on our hotel room door . . .

Inside was even more fun including presents and fortune cookies that read “Lisa Yee is coming!” Plus, a WONDERFUL BOOK that I’ll share with you later. But first, food.
Dinner was with the dazzling librarians from Westlake Porter Library . . .

FYI, librarians sometimes engage in potty humor—even if they aren’t aware of it. I won’t name names (first person on the left), but one said, “The bathroom at this restaurant is really nice. Hey, you should take a picture of your Peepy in the bathroom!”
Try reading that last line out loud . . .

Then it was off to the library . . . (Above: Super Librarian Karen Marino, Moi and a Peep.)

We had a full house for the presentation and the Q and A was especially fun!
The next day was school visits. The kids were so marvelous as you can see. Uh. Oh. Um, oops. The photographer had some problems with her flash . . .

Later it was time for coffee time with talented author, Anne Ursu. Son just gobbled up The Shadow Thieves and can’t wait to get to The Siren Song. Here’s Anne and her darling Dash, who developed a fondness for Peepy . . .
And now, here’s a sneak peek at a book that’s sure to an instant classic. It’s next year’s National Book Award winner, for sure. Jamie created it with the help of the other Westlake Porter librarians . . . . . .
