Lisa Yee, Slumber Party Crasher
I may be Peep-y, but funny guy David Lubar WENT TO THE SOURCE. In honor of David's journey, here's an out-take from the the most recent Peep Show.

Birdy was minding her own business . . .

And look, a contest! Huh? The prize is . . . me???

It's true. I will show up at the winner's slumber party and take her and her guests out to dinner!!! (I don't think I'm supposed to wear my pajamas, but I'll have to check on that.)

And speaking of contests, get ready because I've figured out a BRAND NEW bookish-mind-boggling-contest that will start this Sunday. As always, we'll have good-looking celebrity judges, we'll have prizes, and we'll have fun!!!!

Oh, and over Debbie Michiko Florence's WONDERFUL website, she interviews tons of authors. (Clarification: Tons as in many, not as in "they need to diet.") This month features an interview with moi! Find out about how I became an author, how I write, what it's like being a close personal friend of Colin Firth's, and why I no longer hang out with Paris Hilton. Or at least find out some of that stuff if you check out the interview here.

You must go here and listen to Joe Scruggs' song "Bahamas Pajamas."

Why? Because you said you might have to wear your pajamas. And I thought, "Ooh -- I could win Lisa Yee in her pajamas". And then that last bit of phrase reminded me of this song. Which I'm sure you'll totally love. And possibly hate me for, because it will haunt you evermore.

Entering Contest

Dear Lisa,

If we entered your contest and won, would you come to our chicken coop for a sleepover? We wouldn't roast peeps or anything because that would be a little creepy since we are chicks, ourselves. But we might have cracked corn meal or even grub worms which are great with tobasco. Or maybe we'd just make something fruity to drink with a paper umbrella included. We never really know!

We'd love to win!

Yes, I would come to your coop. However, I am on a grub-worm-free diet at the moment. But cracked corn meal is okay/

Sorry, Three Silly Chicks, but we want Lisa at OUR sleepover.

And Lisa, I'm starting to feel a little sorry for all those Peeps who find themselves in your kitchen...

OR . . .

We could combine sleepovers and have a Silly Disco-MerChick party with grubs, corn meal and Disco Mer-food.

Sounds inviting, yes?

I know this is an older post, but did you know Emily Ebers is in Family Circle magazine? At least, the very top with your name on it is. Page 4 of the June issue, they have a Bag of Books giveaway, and yours is included!
Sorry in advance if you already blogged about this!

Oh! I was told it would be, but I didn't know it was out yet. Thanks for the heads up, I will be sure to look for it--and blog about it, of course.
