San Fran, More Radio Ga Ga, and COFFEE!!!

. . . right now on my book tour for SO TOTALLY EMILY EBERS.

Yesterday I was in Woodside and Menlo Park (home of Thomas Edison) speaking at schools and hobnobbing with Vivian from Kepler's a WONDERFUL independent bookstore.

Today it was Sonoma and a school visit with Lilla and Andy from Readers' Books, and then to their So Totally Cool Store to sign books . . .

Then it was time for a radio interview with multi-tasker Jim Foster who has his own show about books called Conversations on the Coast . . .

Later, I had a wonderful meal/book gab-fest with librarian/pal Carla. After seafood risotto, I drank COFFEE!!! I have only had COFFEE!!! a couple of times before. I really loved drinking my COFFEE!!! and now I think I understand why so many others are hooked on COFFEE!!!

I think lisayee on COFFEE! is a something that should be photographed. I'm a very visual person (one of many reasons I love your blog), so if you're thinking of it sometime, will you let us know that lisayee on COFFEE! looks like?

I want everyone to know that the (very good) coffee was decaf--really, it was. Lisa is naturally PEPPY! and does not need caffeine (as all of you can surely tell). I did offer to take Lisa's picture--she was wearing the coolest cherry necklace. I had a such a good time; I would have stayed till the small hours drinking COFFEE! and chatting with Lisa, but I had to get home to walk the dog.

Was Thomas Edison ever in California's Menlo Park? I know he wintered in Fort Myers, FL, because my dad and I toured his house there when I was quite young. Is CA's Menlo Park named for the city in New Jersey? And what was that city named for? I suppose I could Google or otherwise find out the answers to those questions, as I am, indeed, a librarian.

Lisa, I hope you come back to San Francisco often! (Oooh--you need to get a picture taken wearing your new SF disguise!)

OMG. I got my Menlo Parks mixed up. (It must have been the COFFEE!!!)

Edison was the Wizard of the Other Menlo Park in NJ. (Hey, I visited his home in Fort Myers, too!)

Okay, I'll do different trivia now. Menlo Park, CA is the home of SUNSET magazine.
